More cold, more power cuts

We’ve had more -40F windchills the last couple of days which isn’t much fun as the power keeps going out again. Mark daisy-chained extension cords from school yesterday morning as the power was out for a good 3 hours and in these temperatures it would only take 5-6 hours before pipes would start freezing as the houses will loose heat so quickly. Seems like the bright sparks (no pun intended!) that fixed the generator when it broke around new year only repaired that one particular generator, not the others that have sat broken for goodness knows how long. And of course now that we’ve had a good week and a half of constant cold temperatures, the generator is freezing up again 🙂 Least it’s not my problem to deal with!
