Discworld on the big screen (kinda…)!

I read in the paper a couple of days ago that Terry Pratchett’s ‘The Hogfather’, part of the Discworld series of books, was going to be made into a proper TV-movie. David Jason is to play Death’s butler, Albert, a role I can totally picture him in! Although a couple of the books (Soul Music and Wyrd Sisters) have been made into animated cartoons, this is the first time one has been acted out and combined with computer effects. Unfortunately, it won’t be aired until Christmas 2006 here in the UK on SkyOne - by which time I’ll be well frozen up in Alaska :-(
