Could be worth watching

A little webcast going out at 10.30a.m Pacific Time by Sun Microsystems + Google. Wonder how many people at Microsoft are fearing the worst. Loads of good ideas about what it’s about – a web-based office suite, thin-client front-end to a Google OS based on Sun’s JDS, or just a MS-bashing party.

AJAX Office has been touted for 6 months or so with the possibility of Google doing something with it. Paolo Massa, the guy that ran it until it all became too much, even predicted it would be something Google are likely to throw resources at. That’s my bet as to what the webcast it about – and Sun will get a nice free plug for their new StarOffice 8 suite either way.

Should be interesting to see what they come out with.
